BaggagePIN Ltd has worked closely with airports, airlines and more importantly, baggage handling companies to develop a system for contacting the legal owners of mislaid baggage. It quickly became very clear that for such a service to be successful, it would need to be simple to use and provide owner contact information without the need to register calls via a call centre.

After collating all the input from across the travel industry, our technical designers produced a system based on simplicity itself.

BaggagePIN is a passport for your luggage providing the complete Baggage Owner Contact solution for all forms of transportation around the world.

Baggage or luggage normally contain personal items which can not be replaced if lost.

Most travellers who are unfortunate to lose a baggage item get it back within 48 hours. Others are not so lucky. BaggagePIN fills the gap between the have, and the have not.

BaggagePIN, working with Aviance, one of the world's largest ground handling companies located at over 180 airport around the world.

|
BaggagePIN is not dependent upon any electronic devices, which may or may not work no bar codes, no visible personal information and is very secure.
One unique identification number is issued per member, which will remain theirs for life, it will never change. The same BaggagePIN number may be used on all of your travel items, enabling the legal owner of lost items to be quickly identified.
Each person can have multiple baggage items all carrying the same BaggagePIN ID with the added back up of individual security strap numbers which cross-reference to the BaggagePIN ID. |

Each members account enables them to create four different travel profiles, contact, baggage, travel and accommodation.

The contact profile holds contact information including the preferred method of contact which can be either a mobile telephone, land line or an email address.

The baggage profile allows members to provide the baggage type and colour using industry standard baggage codes.

The travel profile allows the storage of flights, departure and destination locations along with rail, ship and coach itineraries.

The accommodation profile is used for the storage of hotel, guest house or family homes the owner may be staying with.

Baggage handling companies have access to all the BaggagePIN members profiles, but for security and protection of our members they DO NOT have access to the members home address.

If a baggage item is located and has a BaggagePIN ID tag, baggage handlers use the ID code to trace and locate the legal owner of the baggage item based on the information stored in the owners account.

The most popular preferred method of contact is a members mobile telephone number because it is normally with the baggage owner. If the mobile telephone number is the preferred method of contact the baggage handlers will send a Text/SMS message asking the owner to contact them to arrange the repatriation of their baggage item.

It's that simple but very effective.

In partnership with the Aviance Alliance, BaggagePIN has access to all the alliance partners making BaggagePIN the number one in baggage repatriation.
